Today was a looong one!
Got up and had my old standby plus a glass of milk:
I was on campus 10-7:15 today... horrible, horrible, horrible! I was actually planning on getting their earlier, so I cut my workout short at the last minute (from 40 minutes to 30).
- 30 minutes on elliptical; level 10... it was higher than I had ever done, so I was slower for sure
After I left I was FAMISHED, and had only a few options on campus for lunch (I was loaded down with my laptop, gym bag, and a million text books and library books so no room for my bulkly salad tupperware!).
Since I have been eating well all week, I decided to have a little indulgence... Panda Express!
- steamed veggies
- bean curd
- fire-cracker chicken
I know it is loaded with sodium (I should head my own warnings!) but it was this, Nathan's hot dogs, or generic fast food places. I am happy with my choice because it was tasty and provided a ton of veggies! I downed this while I checked emails and chugged H20.
I slaved away in the library for the rest of the afternoon on my non-thesis, and broke out an illegal snack around 3:
From 4:30-7:15 I was trapped in the most boring research class; I almost died of boredom. At our half-way break, I had half of this Lara bar:
It was pretty good, very chewy and lightly tart, and not overly fruity. I only ate half, because 1 of these teeny bars packs in 200 calories.
Once I escaped the class from h-e-double hockey sticks, I prepared a delicious, savory, nutritious dinner:
- 3/4 cup leftover wild grain rice from last night
- a ton of steamed carrots
- a Morning Star asian veggie burger with 1 tsp hummus and hot sauce
I loooove Morning Star asian veggies!
These have a great flavor, and are pretty good for you! I have been on quite the carrot kick after my carrot soup the other day, my huge side of carrots tonight, and this veggie patty that was full of carrots, too!
Even though my lunch was very caloric, I feel okay with it because I have worked out 5 of the past 7 days, I ate healthy snacks today, and I had a very healthy dinner. :-)
Now I am off to enjoy my "stories" before bed. Big day of schoolwork and packing for home tomorrow!
