Oi. More hard work today. Sick of school. Ready for spring break with my family. Oh, wait. I sill have 2 comps to do over that week. Killer.
I did have 1/2 cup of chocolate ice cream with a dark chocolate Late July organic cookie:
It helped a bit.
I decided to work and exercise from home today, so I had a more substantial breakfast:
1 egg + 1 egg white, 1/2 cup of lentil/chorizo/veggie mix, fresh chopped tomatoes, and an Arnold's 100 calorie whole wheat sammie. I ate almost all the egg mix, and 1/2 the sammie with some OJ!
Today I did 33 minutes of the Elle Workout DVD I got a few weeks ago (everything but the floor exercises). It was pretty intense! All of the moves involved weights, so I definitely broke a sweat and felt the burn through every combinations. I highly recommend checking for it at Ross's, Marshall's, and TJ Maxx stores. I was only $2.99, and is broken down into segments so you can just do 10 minutes or the whole 40 minutes.
After workout snack:
And lunch was a "steak" salad:
I sauteed a frozen buffalo burger, and put it on a bed of greens with tomatoes, onion, 1/2 of my fresh batch of guac, and some greek yogurt. Hit the spot, and I still feel really full 2+ hours later.
My guac recipe:
1. Take one RIPE avocado and cut in half. Scoop out meat and discard skins and bulb
2. Cut up 2-3 campari tomatoes (I like having chunky guacamole, so I sometimes use more)
3. Dice 1/4-1/3 white onion (again, decide if you want a lot or a little, I like a lot)
4. Slice one jalapeno in half, de-seed and finely dice
5. Either mince one garlic clove, or use 1 tsp of pre-minced garlic
6. Mix it all together and enjoy!
You can also add lime, pepper, etc... whatever you want. When I do make it, I only make one avocado's worth at a time because it won't last forever! I usually eat 1/3-1/2 of what I make at a time.
Off to work on presentation before my 7pm class. :(
