Who Needs a Diet?

Welcome to my attempt at figuring out how to live a healthy life, while not giving up things I truly love to do and eat!

I Forgot to Blog Yesterday!

How ridiculous; I was just loading the blog and saw that the last post was from Thursday. I was CONVINCED I had accidentally deleted an entry or something, but no. I just forgot. Oops!

After class on Thursday, I rushed home to cook dinner before The Deep End came on, and it wasn't even on this week! Urrrg. Dinner was very comfort-food oriented though, and I loved it!

TJ's multigrain pilaf, 1 beer brat (boiled in beer for 10 minutes, then placed on the foreman), and LOTS of grilled veggies. Mmmm. I needed a nice, comforting meal after this week!

Friday morning I did NOT want to go to the gym; I wanted another easy-going walk and weights. Well, the weather messed that one up! I settled for 20 minutes of my Elle DVD.

Breakfast was good! 1 scrambled egg with a ton of mushrooms, 1 clementine, and 1 banana.

Due to the orange plate, abundance of cholula, and a glass of OJ, I was in a sunny mood despite the weather, apparently.

Lunchtime entertainment was the ACC Tournament (Ashleigh, tell Matt I am REALLY, and I mean REALLY sorry about UNC!), and lunch was a salad with leftover carnita's fixins:

Greens, 1/2 cup carnitas, 1/2 cup black beans and corn, fresh cut tomatoes, and a sprinkle of cheese. Also a little TJ's salsa. I wasn't feeling the carnitas today, though.

Congrats to DUKE, and Maryland? HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAH!

I wasn't hungry all afternoon, which is good because we went to Sakura, one of those Japanese steakhouses where they cook for ya. (Ashleigh, again, remember when we went in Charleston a few years ago? These places are so much fun!)

Sapporo, the Miller of Japanese beers according to Kyle ;-)

Soup, I only ate half or so.
Ginger dressing is SOO good. I wish they used better lettuce... I ate all the veggies and was left with a pool of ginger.

Mmm, mmm veggies!

Oh no! A volcano?! I hope it doesn't ERRUPT!

I thought this was way cooler than the only kid at our table, and I have seen this a million times.

Too good to resist BAD sauces!
Mushroom appetizer. Mmmm, I can't get enough!

My portion of veggies and fried rice. I'm not much of a fried rice fan, but I can't turn it down at these places!

My shrimps

And my filet.... I gave a good bit of it to Ky.

Yummy beers after dinner.

I really liked this peak organic beer... I have had a lot of espresso beers, but this was my favorite. It was very coffee like!
